It’s no secret that the Belle Marie Boudoir team is obsessed with lingerie. We’ve spent a lot of time (and money) building a
large, size-inclusive style closet for our clients. Over the years, we’ve found a few favorite lingerie brands that consistently deliver in terms of quality, comfort, fit, and style.
Our clients are diverse, so we need a diverse selection of lingerie! We’re constantly reviewing and updating our boudoir wardrobe to make sure we have beautiful options for everyone, from XS to 5XL. Finding pieces that help you feel confident and powerful is an important part of the boudoir photography experience.
Since every piece that is worn or tried on gets washed between sessions, durability is also important. Once lingerie starts to show wear and tear, it’s retired from our collection. That’s why we get excited when we find high-quality brands that can handle frequent laundering and still look new.
This week we’re sharing three of our favorite lingerie brands. Whether you're curious about what’s in our studio’s style closet or looking to build your own collection, these options will inspire your next boudoir shoot.
Luxury Lingerie: Honey Birdette
We’ve been fans of Honey Birdette for years! What started as an Australian boutique in 2006 is now an international brand. Their beautifully design and crafted lingerie and accessories (like our beloved bondage set) will add a touch of elegance to any boudoir photoshoot.

Where to Buy: Online. In the U.S., boutiques are limited to New Jersey, Tampa, Las Vegas, and three locations in California. Their online store is easy to navigate, but be sure to check their sizing info and return policies before buying.
Cost Range: Definitely luxury-priced. Bodysuits range from $90–$210, bras $90–$280, and panties from $35–$130. Look out for sales around Black Friday and the holidays! We’ve stocked up on some stunning pieces during their sales, just be sure to set an alarm as sized go fast!
Size Range: XXS–XXL and bras from 30A–40H. Items run small (especially anything with a bra cups), so consider sizing up. We’d love to see Honey Birdette become more size inclusive and true to size with their cup sizing.
What’s in Our Closet: 6 XS, 1 S, 6 M, 9 L, 5 XL, 3 XXL
Plus Size Lingerie: Torrid
Torrid continues to be one of our favorite go-to brands for plus-sized boudoir lingerie. They offer everything from everyday essentials to beautiful sets that look amazing in boudoir portraits. Plus, their sizing is made with curvier bodies in mind.

Where to Buy: Online and in-store. They have multiple Minnesota locations including Maple Grove, Coon Rapids, Rosedale, St. Paul, Bloomington, and Woodbury.
Cost Range: Bodysuits range from $49.90–$79.90. Bras are $24–$69.90. Bottoms range from $20.90–$25.90. Sales are frequent and can help you snag amazing pieces for less.

What’s in Our Closet: 1M, 1 L, 1 XL, 7 XXL, 5 3XL, 2 4XL, 3 5XL

Art-Inspired Lingerie: Thistle and Spire
If you’re looking for something truly unique, Thistle and Spire is a must. Known for artistic, statement-making lingerie, their bold designs are perfect for someone who wants to stand out in their boudoir photos.
Where to Buy: Online only. They offer a $1 Return an Exchange program for easy exchanges if the sizing isn’t right.
Cost Range: Bodysuits $98–$138, bras $62–$98, and bottoms $30–$58. They also have a sale section for great deals, just be aware those are final sale!.
