Unstoppable Confidence: Inside Mrs. M’s Minnesota Boudoir Experience

Today I want to share the story of a client who came into our Minnesota boudoir studio not long ago. Mrs. M visited us on a chilly January morning. She arrived feeling a little nervous, but completely opened up and ended up having so much fun. Olivia said her face hurt from how much they laughed and has been hounding me to write a client feature blog about Mrs. M ever since. It was just one of those extra special shoots that stays with you.
Why She Booked Her Boudoir Photoshoot
Mrs. M originally booked her session back in early October. During her consultation call with Mackenzie, she shared several reasons for wanting to do a boudoir photoshoot. She’d been researching boudoir photography studios for years but never felt confident enough to finally book.
“I’ve struggled with self-esteem and body image issues my whole life. I wanted to do something to make me feel good about myself and have something beautiful to share with my husband.”
With her third wedding anniversary approaching (and her husband’s birthday not far behind) she finally felt ready to give him a truly unforgettable gift. What Her Boudoir Session Was Like
Even though she had been looking forward to the shoot for months, the nerves hit hard as soon as she pulled into the parking lot of our Ramsey, MN boudoir studio.
“I didn’t really have nerves until I pulled up to park. I was nervous about how I would look and feel since it was something I’ve never done before.”

As soon as she stepped inside and started chatting with Mackenzie and me while getting her hair and makeup done, Mrs. M began to relax. Once she met Olivia, the two clicked immediately, and I had a feeling this was going to be an unforgettable session.
“As SOON as I walked in, I felt like it was just girls day.”
At the time, Olivia had just started a challenge to go live on our social channels every day. Mrs. M was so comfortable, she let Olivia go live during her entire boudoir shoot so others could get a peek behind the scenes. Safe to say, her nerves were long gone!
The energy in the studio was pure creative chaos. Olivia and Mrs. M were cracking up the entire time. You would have never been blessed to tell Mrs. M was even a little nervous at the beginning of the day!
“Olivia and I were CRACKING up during the whole shoot, but she got so many great photos. I was in awe.”
After the Photoshoot
Mrs. M wrapped up her boudoir session by designing a gorgeous custom 10x10 album. And since she picked our top-tier Diamond Package, she also received a full digital gallery with all 156 edited images just one week later. She was excited to show her husband the results, and couldn't wait to see his reaction.
“He loves the digitals so far and is SUPER excited to get the album!”
But beyond gifting the photos to her husband, this photoshoot turned out to be an even bigger gift to herself. She had hoped a boudoir photoshoot would help her confidence, but the confidence boost and feelings of empowerment she got from the session far exceeded her expectations.
