We first met Ms. J in the spring of 2024, and let’s just say she made quite the entrance. Donuts in hand, cracking jokes from
the jump, and rocking a wicked sense of humor, she had us all laughing before we even finished hair and makeup. Usually, Olivia is the one dishing out the dad jokes to break the ice, but Ms. J had our faces hurting from nonstop smiling and laughter. It was one of the most fun boudoir photoshoots we’ve ever had at the studio.

From the beginning, Ms. J held nothing back. Her hilarious, off-the-cuff comments kept the energy high and fit right in with the Belle Marie Boudoir team’s vibe. We ended the session designing a gorgeous 8x8 boudoir album filled with her favorite images, planned as a gift for her husband.

In true Ms. J fashion, the day we emailed her the online gallery of digitals we immediately received this reply:
“The way I just SCREAMED about this notification going down 35W this morning!
So excited to look at these “
We kept in touch with Ms. J over the next year, we all knew she’s be back and honestly, we couldn’t wait for round two!
Big Changes for Ms. J
Finally, in the spring of 2025 Ms. J scheduled a consultations and we got her a session on the books for the fall! Leading up to her second photoshoot, Ms. J had absolutely no nerves! This time she was just excited!
“This being my second time with Olivia and the team, I knew I’d be met with best friend energy and vibes”
In the time between photoshoots Ms. J went through some BIG life changes! She got a divorce and had to deal with the fallout of the end of that relationship.
At the time she messaged us saying: “Life has been a total booger, but throughout my healing I’ve discovered a newfound love for myself, my body, and those around me! “
A year later she decide it was time for another photoshoot. She was in a new relationship with a man she was crazy about and who was equally as crazy about her! She knew he’d love the photos, but the main motivation for this photoshoot was for her own benefit. Her first session was as a gift and this time it was only to celebrate her strength and take ownership of her body.
“Recently divorced, and taking back my body as mine!”

Second Photoshoot Fun

Return client photoshoots are always extra fun. They know what to expect and there are no nerves this time around, just excitement experience the confidence boosting energy from the shoot again! They feel more confident to lean into sets,
outfits, and poses that reflect their style and personality because they know Olivia is going to make sure it all comes together in some stunning photos by the end!
Ms. J went for a bolder make up look with darker, smokey eyes and bold dark red lips. She was so thrilled with the make up when Mackenzie asked her thoughts she took a look in the mirror and exclaimed “Oh my gosh I want to take myself to dinner then take myself home and push myself up against a wall!”
She was also more adventurous in her outfit selections, going with bold colors, a lot of straps, and fun details. We added body jewelry to really elevate a stunning black bodysuit with a plunging neckline. She felt incredible during the experience, saying that she felt “Free! I felt liberated”
We had also experienced a lot of change since we last saw Ms. J! Her first photoshoot was in our old studio and we were very excited to explore all the sets in our new Ramsey, MN studio. We’re often changing up our sets or creating new speciality lighting options, so repeat clients always have something new to try and we make sure they don’t end up with the same set of photos.
Ms. J’s advice for anyone who hasn’t done a boudoir photoshoot:
“Go for it! Trust your instincts and let yourself fall into the process. Trust the process, too. Know that Olivia has got you, and she will do what she does best to make you feel beautiful”
Final Thoughts
Ms. J’s story is exactly why we love what we do here at Belle Marie Boudoir. Her sessions were full of laughter, transformation, and bold self-expression; but more than anything, they were a celebration of her journey. From gifting her first session to embracing her second as an act of self-love, she reminded us that boudoir is never just about the photos. It’s about reclaiming your confidence, honoring your growth, and showing up as your full, unapologetic self.
Whether you're stepping into the studio for the first time or coming back for your own round two, you deserve to feel celebrated, seen, and stunning every step of the way. Ms. J did it her way, and we can’t wait to help you do the same.
