Mixing Up Something New At Belle Marie Boudoir: The Liquor Bar Set

We’re always thinking of new ways to bring a little extra magic, beauty, and boldness to your boudoir photoshoot. Our studio is already packed with stunning sets, but we knew it was time for something new. Not too long ago, we added our cozy Book Nook set and our clients instantly fell in love. There’s just something about a soft chair, moody lighting, and rows of vintage books that make you feel like a the leading lady of your own novel.

But we weren’t done yet. We’ve been working quietly on something brand new the last few months, and now it’s finally ready. We’re so excited to share our newest boudoir set with you: The Liquor Bar.

Turning a Blank Space into a Boudoir Dream

There’s been a small corner in the back of our studio that’s sat empty for over a year. And if you know Olivia, you know that kind of wasted space just won’t do. Our girl is efficient, she wants every inch of our studio to feel intentional, fun, and full of inspiration. We spent time tossing around ideas, digging through backdrops, and dreaming up new boudoir photoshoot vibes. But nothing stuck. Until Olivia headed off to Florida for a creative reset.

This summer, Olivia attended a photography workshop in Orlando a with Passio Photography and left buzzing with ideas. One of the sets she worked in had a vintage liquor bar that was rich, moody, and full of personality. Think: candles, bar stools, gold accents, a decadent spread of grapes and citrus, and healthy dose of that cocktail hour sass.  That set instantly inspired her and she was determined to bring the vibe and feeling from that set back to our studio in Minnesota.

Olivia's Creativity Goblin Unleashed

Before Olivia even made it back to Minneapolis, she was already ordering candles, vintage style cocktail glasses, and fancy decanters. Her chaotic creativity was in overdrive and the rest of us were just along for the ride. Soon packages began arriving to the studio, while I had to do some damage control after Olivia excitedly posted some seriously spicy shots from the Passio Workshop our Instagram and angered the IG flagging system.

Little by little, Over the next few months, we transformed that empty corner into a sultry set straight out of a dream. Glass details, gold tones, soft candlelight, and deep shadows came together to create the perfect backdrop for bold and moody boudoir portraits.

The Liquor Bar set is all about atmosphere. We made sure every detail added to the vibe while still photographing beautifully. After a weekend shoot with past clients brought in to model, we perfected prop placements, lighting, and posing. The results were sexy, stylish, and ready to be one of your new favorite spots.
